Sour Cream Cornbread

 
Ingredients -
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 cup Stone Ground White Cornmeal
2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
1 teaspoon Coarse Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1 cup Light Sour Cream
4 tablespoons Whole Milk, cold
1 Medium Egg
2 tablespoons Butter, softened
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

2. Spray a 9 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.

3. Combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar in a medium mixing bowl.

4. Add in the sour cream, milk, egg and butter and mix thoroughly.

5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and scrape down the sides to get it all in.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.

7. Remove from the heat and serve.
