1. Put an 8 inch cast iron skillet into the oven and set the temperature to 425 degrees.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. Mix well.
4. Add the egg, butter, sugar and 4 tablespoons of butter, stirring well to combine.
5. Remove the skillet from the oven and brush with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
6. Transfer the batter into the hot skillet.
7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Let cool for 10 minutes then serve.
